Would not want to go back it's a one time thing. Employees there entertain themselves. The girls lure u in with sexy outfit, the minute u step in they go out with their phones. I've been here 3 times in the past 2 years, and I think I have finally gotten it sorted. The Pubb that is the spelling, like in the posted pictures here is just a couple of blocks down from the HY train station, and directly across from the Odean shopping center. And a live band inside, which caters to the Thai crowd.
As mentioned by others, drink prices were a bit above some other places, but generally in line with the other Western-style bars, such as Swan, Post Laser, etc.
At least, based upon the number of dishes I saw brought from there and taken to tables or inside The Pubb. I've eaten there, ordering items both off the steamer tables and the menu. Portions are large, prices fair, ingredients seem fresh enough.
An alternative way to do 'The Pubb' would be to simply sit next door, at the 3 restaurant, by the large aquarium, and right next to where the guitarist plays. If you like the Asian hostess-style of serving, the girls were all fairly attractive and friendly, even if no real English was spoken. If that disturbs you, you might be better off somewhere else. As adorable as it is, this is really, really bad - baby elephants should be with their moms, in the jungle, not roaming around Hat Yai to be exploited.
So please, don't patronize the touts. Always good night time live music in this city centre bar. Hat Yai has a reasonable number of good live venues and the band here is one of the best. The pub is well located and in centre of the town. Drinks prices are ok, at least they do not slaughter you.
