Most of the time it's impossible to really find out about a place until you are living there. This is part of the fun of discovering a new town, but sometimes it helps to get some pointers! But the metro itself has air conditioning and is usually on time. And everything is pretty much within half an hour reach. A 3 month pass for under year olds costs euros, which is excellent. And the pass works for bus and metro. For over 21 year olds it is euros, so there is not much of a difference.
