This is 'naturally' the first hangout place you will be taken to when you arrive in N'djamena. There is a variety of foreign dishes as well as local and imported drinks. You can listen to live music and sometimes dances.
However the place is full of prostitutes from neighboring Cameroun that are at times 'aggressive' as the night grows. Some security incidents of men using their guns or knives have been reported despite the security measures in place e.
You don't feel very safe while you are in Carnivore but you can still give it a try to get to know what nightlife is in Chad's capital. I used to go for dinner a few times a month with fellow expats. It has great food considering it's an extremely poor country.
Great service, friendly staff, live music etc. Yes it has prostitutes, but my friends and I were never bothered or harassed. A polite "no thanks" was more than sufficient to be left alone. A good restaurant with excellent beef quality and cooking, music to keep your spirits high and a good service all at a very reasonable price. Would one ask for more in N'Djamena? A place to eat a decent meal. Ok service and quality of food.
